The Economy, Roller Coasters and Management’s Responsibility

We are witnessing one of the unique economic periods in our current history. Hopefully this will be our great one time economic event such as our Grandparents witnessed the Great Depression. In many ways this trip has been similar to a ride on a roller coaster: the ups and downs, the creaks and groans of the rails, the screams and fears of the riders.

Economy Perspective? Watch the Railroads

Economists will give you a variety of opinions on the economy such as it is improving, stabilizing or deteriorating. I believe that we should utilize tools to make our own conclusions as opposed to relying on the well informed opinions of others. One such tool is from the Association of American Railroads. Every week on Thursday, the Association publishes the Weekly Traffic of US Railroads.
